You can configure two basic PoE settings in the
Switch Configuration section:
■ Power
■ Power Exceed Shutdown Method
Table 12 describes the available options for these set-
tings.
Table 12 Basic PoE Options
If you make any changes to the settings in Table 12,
click Apply to save your changes.
Configuring PoE for Individual Ports
You can also configure the PoE settings for each indi-
vidual port using the PoE Setting screen.
Option Description
Power Enables and disables Power over Ether-
net on all ports. There are two available
options for this setting:
■ Enable – Select to enable the Switch
to supply PoE on all ports
■ Disable – Select to disable PoE on all
ports
To enable or disable power for individual
ports, you need access the PoE Setting
screen. For more information, refer to
“Configuring PoE for Individual Ports”
on page 41.
Shutdown Power
Method
If the power budget is exceeded, this
setting determines which devices will
continue to be powered. You can select:
■ Last Link Up (default) – Ensures that
the devices have power priority in the
order in which they were connected
to the switch.
■ Select Port Priority – Follows the port
priority settings to allow devices con
-
figured as having low priority to be
disconnected first.
