IED parameters organization
The organization of the parameters in a tree structure is visible in the plant structure
by expanding the setting tree. For each function, the parameters are organized in basic
and advanced groups. The advanced settings are used for application optimization.
During a common write both the basic and advanced settings are
written to the IED.

SMT is used to do cross references, see

• between physical IO signals and function blocks.
• for the GOOSE engineering.
