them on the new IGCT.

6 Thoroughly clean the contact surfaces of the cooler and the anode
and cathode of the new RC-IGCT with an appropriate solvent (e. g.
alcohol). Using a fluff-free cloth wipe the surfaces paying attention not
to scratch the surfaces.
Note: Do not use any grease or any electrical joint compound.
7 Push the new RC-IGCT into the stack.
8 Tighten the pressure adjusting bolt until the gauge is released.
9 Fasten the gauge in its storage place.
10 Remount the retaining rods and fasten the RC-IGCTs.
11 Push the phase module back into the cabinet following the
instructions in section
4.3 Installing a Phase Module
