2 - Characteristics
Functionality and components of the equipment
Congurable relay
The inverter is equipped with a congurable switching relay, which can
be used in different operating congurations that can be set in the dedi-
cated menu. A typical example of application is the activation of the relay
in the event of an alarm.
Remote switch-on/switch-off
This command can be used to turn off/turn on the inverter via an external
(remote) command.
This functionality must be enabled in the menu and when active, switching
on the inverter, besides being dictated by the presence of normal para-
meters which allow the inverter to be connected to the grid, also depends
on the external control for switching on/off.
Reactive power feed into the grid
The inverter is capable of producing reactive power, and then feeding
it into the grid through this connection, by setting the phase factor. Ma-
naging the input can be controlled directly by the grid company via a
dedicated RS485 serial interface or set by the display or through the
conguration software, Aurora Manager Lite.
Power feeding modes vary according to the country of installation and
the grid companies. For detailed information on the parameters and cha-
racteristics of this function, contact FIMER directly.
Limiting the active power fed into the grid
The inverter, if enabled and set using the display or the Aurora Manager
Lite conguration software, can limit the amount of active power fed into
the grid by the inverter to the desired value (expressed as a percentage).
Input Fuses
In the -FS version each input is supplied with protection fuses (not factory
tted)
13
to protect the device from currents exceeding the limit indepen-
dently for each string.
The sizing of the fuses must be carefully considered during installation.
Data transmission and control
The inverter or a network of several inverters, can also be monitored
remotely via an advanced communication system based on a RS-485
serial interface. The range of optional FIMER devices that can be con-
nected to this communication line allow you to monitor the device locally
or remotely through an internet connection.
