7.1.5. Precharge
This screen shows whether DC bus Precharge conditions are achieved or not and if the converter DC bus
voltage and energy storage DC bus voltage are the same or not.
When block precharge conditions are not satisfied, the block waits in to precharge mode. It generally
occurs following commissioning or maintenance in which precharge process will need to be completed
prior to the system is started.
The precharge mostly consists of equalizing battery and converter DC bus voltages following a
disconnection event. In this MV UPS block, DC bus network changes with the energy storage application.
When the MV UPS transits to precharge mode, the GDM shall automatically display the precharge tab,
also the operator can view the precharge page at any time from the dashboard. For more information
about precharge operation steps, please refer to chapter 8.
