6.2.6 Entries in the engine logbook
Monitoring the engine system makes it possible to draw conclusions on the operating beha-
viour of the turbocharger.
The following operating data and measured values must be entered regularly into the engine
logbook of the enginebuilder:
¡ Number of times the engine is started successfully (possible aborted start cycles do not
need to be recorded)
¡ Performance and speed of the engine
¡ Air intake temperature
¡ Pressure of the charge air
¡ Pressure loss in the charge air cooler
¡ Lubricating oil pressure and lubricating oil temperature.
If present:
¡ Speed of the turbocharger
¡ Air temperature after the compressor and after the charge air cooler
¡ Exhaust gas temperature before and after the turbine
¡ Pressure loss in the filter silencer.
