3.2.2.1 System Self Supervision
The System Self Supervision function shows the status of the various system components
in a display for easy and fast system maintenance and fault localization. The display
shows information about the base system, applications, redundancy, communication
lines, IEDs, and so on. The system can also receive status information from any device
or external software reporting to the Windows event log, for example, disks, power
supplies, and computer boards. Communication equipment and peripheral devices that
support SNMP can also be supervised by using a third party product SNMP-OPC gateway.
