2.3 Operating status (STOP/RUN)
The operating status of your Accu-Chek D-TRONplus insulin pump may be either
STOP or RUN.
RUN
During normal use, your insulin pump is in RUN and insulin is
continuously delivered (basal rate). A bolus can be programmed
when needed. The time, the symbol for the current basal rate
profile, and the value of the current basal rate or, if activated, in-
formation on special functions (e.g. extended bolus, temporary
basal rate or KeyLock) appear on the display when your insulin
pump is in RUN.
STOP
In STOP, your insulin pump does not deliver insulin. For exam-
ple when you return the piston rod, change the cartridge, con-
nect the adapter and/or infusion set or prime your infusion set,
your insulin pump must be in STOP. The time, the STOP symbol
and -S-- appear on the display when your insulin pump is in
STOP (if activated, the KeyLock symbol is also displayed).
In both STOP and RUN, a blinking colon in the time display indicates that your in-
sulin pump is functioning.
