6.8 KeyLock
Your insulin pump is equipped with a unique KeyLock function that can be activated
or deactivated.
The KeyLock function allows you to lock the four Accu-Chek D-TRONplus insulin
pump keys and serves as an additional safety measure against unintentional activa-
tion of Accu-Chek D-TRONplus insulin pump functions (for example by children, while
sleeping, during sports, etc.).
Caution: If the KeyLock function is activated, your insulin pump automa-
tically locks all four keys 10 seconds (KeyLock timeout) after your insulin
pump has been put into STOP or RUN.This KeyLock timeout is inactive as
long as any programming on your insulin pump takes place or while your
insulin pump delivers a standard or scroll bolus.
Caution: If the KeyLock is activated, the keys must be temporarily un-
locked before the KeyLock can be deactivated or any other programming
of your insulin pump can be performed.
The KeyLock is deactivated* in the standard configuration. It can be
changed in the SETUP menu only.
6.8.1 Activate or deactivate the KeyLock
To activate or deactivate the KeyLock
1. Make sure your insulin pump is in RUN and the KeyLock is
deactivated or the keys are unlocked.

and changes made using the Accu-Chek DiaLog Pump Programming tool.
