Cancel a temporary basal rate
You have two options for cancelling a temporary basal rate. With option A, your in-
sulin pump returns to RUN. With option B, your insulin pump changes to STOP and
insulin delivery is stopped.
Option A
1. Make sure your insulin pump is in RUN and the KeyLock is
deactivated or the keys are unlocked.
2. Press

6 times to select the temporary basal rate menu.
3. Confirm with

The temporary basal rate percentage flashes.
4. Press/scroll
a

to return the basal rate to 100%.
The duration does not have to be cancelled as long as the
basal rate is set to 100%.
5. Confirm the change by pressing

within 20 seconds*.
* This parameter may vary based on the standard configuration of your insulin pump
and changes made using the Accu-Chek DiaLog Pump Programming tool.
4. Press/scroll
a
to increase or
s
to decrease the basal rate.
The programmed basal rate can be increased or decreased
in 10% increments (0–200%), as needed.
5. Press
d
to move to the duration.
The duration of the last increase or decrease flashes.
6. Press/scroll
a
to lengthen or
s
to shorten the duration.
The duration can be programmed between 1 and 24 hours in
hourly intervals. (In this example a temporary decrease of
10% for 3 hours is programmed.)
You can move back and forth between programming the tem-
porary basal rate duration and percentage by pressing
d
to
make changes to these parameters if necessary.
7. Check the programmed percentage and the duration of the
temporary basal rate.
8. Confirm the temporary basal rate by pressing
f
within 20
seconds*.
Your insulin pump returns to RUN.
Info: If
f
is not pressed within 20 seconds*, your insulin pump automat-
ically returns to RUN (timeout).
The temporary basal rate is not activated.
Info: During the delivery, the remaining time and percentage of an in-
crease or decrease is displayed continuously. If an extended bolus is active
at the same time, only the remaining time and amount of the extended
bolus is displayed. The remaining time and percentage of the temporary
basal rate are visible if you select the temporary basal rate menu by pres-
sing
d
