11. ALWAYS use a new, sterile
lancet each time you test.
NEVER reuse a lancet that has
already been used. To
advance to the next lancet,
slide the lever forward and
then slide it back all the way.
12. The lancet counter decreases
one number. The window
shows the number of lancets
remaining. For safety reasons,
once you advance to a new
lancet, you cannot go back to
a used lancet.
13. Wash hands thoroughly with
soap and water.
