System requirements
Each computer where DiskSafe Express is installed must have the following:
l One of the following opera t ing systems:
n Microsof t Windows XP Home Edition or Professional (Service Pack 2)
n Microsof t Windows Server 2003 (SP1)
n Microsof t Windows 2000 Professional, Server , or Advanced Server with
Service Pack 4
l An enabled network interface card
l A CD-ROM drive (for installation and using the recovery CD)
Note: A CD-ROM drive is no t required for installation if an image o f the
CD is accessible via a network server .
l Microsof t iSCSI Initiator 2.x
Note: For informa t ion about downloading and installing this item, refer to
the next section, “Ins t alling the Microsof t iSCSI Initiator.”
l 20 MB free hard disk space
Note: DiskSa f e Express requires the Intelligent Managemen t Agent
(IMA), which is installed automatically if it is not already installed. IMA requires
an
additional 5 MB of free hard disk space ( f or both the application and
associated
log file data).
Microsof t .NET Framework 1.1 is also required and installed automatically if it
is not already installed. The .NET Framework requires approximately 40 MB
of additional free hard disk space.
