ter
you
install
DiskSafe
Express
and
restart
your
compu
t
er
,
the
Protect
a
Disk wizard
runs
automatically
.
Using
this
wizard,
you
can
specify
which
disk
or
partition you
want
t
o
back
up
,
where
the
backups
should
be
stored,
when
automatic
backups
(if
any)
should
occur
,
and
wha
t
password
you
want
to
use
with
the
recovery
CD
or
booting
remotely
. If
you
cancel
t
his
wizard
,
you
can
start
it
again
at
any
time
using
the
following
procedure.
Before
you
protect
a
disk,
it
is
recommended
tha
t
you
con
f
irm
that
suf
f
icient
space
is
available
on
the
storage
system
. At
leas
t
an
additional
20%
of
the
disk
size
is
required
for
changed
data.
For
example
, if
the
disk
that
you
want
to
protect
is
15
GB,
at
least
18
GB
of
space
must
be
available
on
the
storage
system.
The
Home
page
in
the
Manager
(described
in
“Navigating
the
Manager”) displays
the
amoun
t
of
available
space.
To
protec
t
a
disk:
1.
Click
Protect
a
Disk
.
The
Protect
a
Disk
wizard
runs
.

In
the
Availab
l
e
disks
list,
select
the
disk
or
partition
that
you
want
to
protect.
Even
if
your
computer
has
only
one
hard
disk,
t
wo
items
appear
in
this
list.
The
first
item
represen
t
s
the
entire
hard
disk,
and
the
second
item
represen
t
s
the
partition
on
that
disk.
(If t
here’s
only
one
partition
on
the
disk,
the
partition
is
the
same
as
the
entire
disk.)
