When
you
enable
remote
boot,
your
network
connection
will
be
temporarily
interrupted
. It
is
recommended
tha
t
you
enable
remote
boot
when
t
his
will
not
adversely
affect
any
network
applications
that
you
might
be
running.
If
remote
boot
is
successfully
enabled,
a
new
backup
is
created
automatically
.
Once
you
have
enabled
remote
boot,
if
you
subsequently
want
to
boot
remotely
using
a
dif
f
erent
network
interface
card
(NIC),
you
must
first
disable
remote
boo
t
and
then
enable
it
again
,
specifying
the
o
t
her
NIC.
In
addition,
after
you
recover
a
disk
while
booting
remotely
,
you
must
disable
and
re-enable
remote
boot.

remote
boot
To
enable
remote
boot:

In
the
Protected
disk
list
on
any
page,
select
your
system
disk
or
partition
.
If
you
protected
multiple
system
disks
or
partitions,
select
the
first
system
disk
or
partition
on
your
computer
(typically
Disk
0).

From
the
Action
menu,
click
Enable
Remote
Boot
.
The
Enable
Remote
Boot
dialog
box
displays.
This
dialog
box
displays
a
list
o
f
all
the
NICs
on
your
computer
.

From
the
list,
select
the
NIC
tha
t
you
want
to
use
when
remotely
booting
from
the
storage
system.
