3 . In the Backups list, select the backup that you want to recover .
4. Click Restore Disk .
5 . If you are restoring a partition, and at least one o t her partition on the same disk
is also pro t ected, a message displays, advising you that protection will be
stopped
for tha t partition during the recovery process. Click Yes to proceed.
6 . When the recovery confirmation message displays, click Yes .
7 . If any backup views are open (including backup views o f disks other t han the
one
you are recovering), click Yes to close them.
The disk or par t ition is recovered to exactly it s state at the date and time of the
selected
backup.
To let you monitor the progress o f this activity , the Status page displays
automatically
. The Current activity area displays the percentage o f the
recovery that has completed, and the speed at which the da t a is being sent over
the
network. The Progress bar graphically indicates how much o f the recovery
is complete.
Note: You can cancel t his operation a t any time by clicking
Stop Current
Activity . However , this will leave the local disk or partition in an
incomplete state, and you will have to recover it again before you can use it.
8 . When you are prompted to restart the computer , click OK .
You do not have t o restart your computer immedia t ely , bu t you cannot access
the
recovered disk or partition until you do.
As soon as you restart t he computer , you must start DiskSafe Express and back
up the recovered disk or partition manually (as described in “Manually backing
up your disk”) to resume pro t ection. In addition, if you recovered a partition and
any other partitions on the same disk were protected, you must manually back up
t
hose partitions as well.
