The Users & Computers page displays:
2. Click Add .
3 . Select the type of user that you want to add, and then click Next .
The opera t ing system used by t he user determines which option you should
choose—
W i ndows / Mac OS X user (C IF S) or Linux/Other Mac user (NFS) .
Notes:
l Linux users and Mac users who are no t using OS X access shared folders
using
the Network File System (NFS). I n this environment , access to shared
f
olders is given to entire computers, no t to individual users o f
those computers. However , in Windows and Mac OS X environments,
each computer user can have individual access to a shared folder .
l If your storage system uses Active Directory authentica t ion mode, you
can
add only Linux/other Mac users.
