e) Dialing a Number From the Phone Book
1. The handset is in standby (no tone).
2. Press the phone book key (5).
3. The first entry in the phone book will be displayed.
4. Press the arrow down (11) or arrow up (3) key until the number you want
to call is displayed.
5. Press the line key (2).
6. The displayed number will be called automatically.
7. To end the communication, press the line key (2) or replace the hand-
set in its cradle.
5.4 Answering Calls
a) Answering an External Call
1. All handsets which are subscribed to the base set ring.
2. The contact symbol flashes, the number and the name (if it is stored in
the phone book) are displayed.
3. Press the line key (2).
4. EXT and the contact symbol stay on the display and the counter starts.
5. You can communicate.
6. To end the communication, press the line key (2) or replace the hand-
set in its cradle.
7. The handset returns to standby.
b) Answering an Internal Call
1. The handset rings.
2. INT and the number of the calling handset (1 to 5) are displayed and the
contact symbol flashes.
3. Press the line key (2).
4. You can communicate.
5. INT-, the number of the calling handset (1 to 5), the contact symbol stay
on the display and the counter starts.
6. To end the communication, press the line key (2) or replace the hand-
set in its cradle.
7. The handset returns to standby.
