7. Call Log (CLIP)
Birdy features identification of the caller as well as presentation of the date and
time the call came in (see item 4.4). It compares the incoming telephone
number with the entries in the phone book (name matching). If the number also
appears in the phone book, number presentation will be replaced by the
corresponding name. If calls are unanswered, this information will be stored in
the call log memory, which can store the information of up to 30 numbers. If
you have unanswered calls, the call log symbol is flashing.
NOTE: Ask your telephone provider for this service.
7.1 Viewing the Call Log
1. The handset is in standby (no tone).
2. Press the arrow up key (3) to start viewing the call log with the most recent
call that came in.
3. The name of the most recent call that came in is displayed. If the name is
not available, NO NAME is displayed. The date and time the call came in
are also displayed, if transmitted by the telephone network or set manu-
ally.
4. Shortly press the arrow down key (11) to view the number that corresponds
with the name.
5. Shortly press the arrow down key (11) to view the other calls in the call
log.
NOTE: When you have got a call, 15 seconds after the last ring, the number will
be displayed before the handset returns to standby.
During communication, caller identification is impossible.
When the call log is full, the oldest call will be replaced by the most recent one.
7.2 Calling a Number From the Call Log
1. The handset is in standby (no tone).
2. Press the arrow up key (3) to start viewing the call log with the most recent
call that came in.
3. Press the arrow down (11) or arrow up (3) key to select the number from
the call log you want to call.
4. Press the line key (2) to dial the displayed number automatically.
5. The contact symbol lights, EXT is displayed and the counter starts.
