Adjust Stem Handlebar Height
Tighten fasteners to the correct torque to prevent serious injury or death. Bolts that are too tight
can cause the stem/seat post to stretch and deform. Bolts that are too loose can cause the stem/-
seat post to move and wear. Either condition can lead to a sudden failure of the bolt and result
in a crash. See Tightening Torque (p. 21).
A stem/seat post that is positioned too high can damage the bike and cause you to lose control
and crash. Select a height that is comfortable for you, but DO NOT extend past the safety line
position. To adjust your stem/seat post, unlatch the clamp, move the handlebars to the desired
height, and close the clamp. Re-tighten the stem/seat post clamp to the recommended torque
(see Tightening Torque on p. 21).

Remove The Battery
Adjust Stem/Seat Post Heigh
Loosen the lamp. The open and closed positions of the clamp are shown below (open position
on left, closed position on right);
Raise or lower the stem/seat post in the seat tube;
Check if the seat/handlebar is straight and not tilted., and Re-tighten the seat post clamp to
the recommended torque. See Tightening Torque(p. 21).
Front and back adjustment: Loosen nuts on both sides of the seat. Make sure the clamp mecha-
nism is clamping on the straight part of the seat rails and is not touching the curved part of the
rails. Ensure that you are using the recommended torque on the clamping fastener(s). See Tight-
ening Torque (p. 21).
Seat angle adjustment: Most people prefer a horizontal seat, but you may prefer the seat nose
angled slightly up or down. Loosen the clamp bolt to allow any serrations on the clamp mecha-
nism to disengage before changing the seat angle, and to fully re-engage the serrations before
you tighten the clamp bolt to the recommended Tightening Torque (p. 21).
