Mulch and mowing
Using the mower without the grass collection bag (16) attached, the lawn
mower will mulch as it cuts and the ne grass clippings are distributed back
onto the grass surface without leaving piles of grass clippings.
To undertake this task, remove the grass collection bag (16), and insert the
mulching block (21) into position.
Ensure the side ejector cover (12) is in the closed position. Do not use the
side discharge chute (22) when mulch and mowing.
Maintenance
WARNING: Switch o the mower, remove the battery pack, ensure
the blade has come to a standstill, and the engine is cooled
before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
Regular maintenance is most important for the best performance and safe
operation. Failure to periodically maintain the condition of your lawn mower
which results in malfunction of the lawn mower will void warranty.
Before each use:
- Check the battery power;
- Check general condition of the mower;
- Check the blade for sharpness;
- Remove grass clipping and dirt from under the housing.
Replacing the blade (23)
WARNING:The blade (23) is sharp. Contacting the blade (23) can
result in serious personal injury. Wear heavy gloves when
servicing the blade (23).
1) Remove the battery pack (9) and the safety key
(20), ensure blades have come to a standstill, and the
engine is cooled.
2) Tilt the mower to the side to access the blade (23)
under the deck. (See Fig. K)
3) Remove the blade bolt (24) using a 27mm wrench
(not supplied) in an anticlockwise direction and take
o the blade (23).
4) Position the new blade (23) with its holes aligned
with the pins. Using a 27mm wrench (not supplied)
