Stopping the Engine
1. Before stopping, ensure that no electrical apparatus is electrically
connected to the generator . TURN OFF the master 240Va.c switch (13) to
turn off the power to the 3 AC sockets (12). You can also then remove any
plugs in any of the 3 AC sockets (12) on the control panel (14) (Fig Q/R).
2. Allow the petrol motor to slow down and idle for approx 30 seconds.
3. Press the On/Off switch (4) to the ‘Off’ position as indicated by an “O” (Fig. U).
4. Turn the fuel lever / tap (26) anti clockwise to the ‘off’ position (Fig. V).
Failure of the motor On/O Switch
In the unusual event the motor On/Off switch (4) does not stop the petrol
motor of the generator, follow the following procedure to shut down the
generator:
1. Turn off the master 240Va.c switch (13) (Fig R), and remove all plugs from
the AC sockets (12) (Fig Q).
2. Ensure the On/Off switch (4) is in the “OFF” position (Fig U).
3. Move the fuel tap (26) to the OFF position (Fig V).
The generator will run for approximately 1 minute and then stop.
Do not use the generator again until the generator is serviced and the
fault corrected.
