8.4 Interface Description

8.4.1 Scope
This document gives information, requirements,
and recommendations about operational
procedures and signal processing for safe and
reliable operation of the separator. It is intended
to be used for designing auxiliary equipment
and control systems for the separator.
8.4.2 References
This Interface Description is one complementary
document to the separator. Other such

8.4.3 Definitions
For the purpose of this document, the following
definitions apply:
• Synchronous speed: The speed the machine
will attain when it is driven by a three phase
squirrel-cage induction motor and there is no
slip in the motor and the drive system.
• Full speed: The synchronous speed minus
normal slip.
