Use the right-sided “Score Up” <55> and “Score Down” <56> buttons to change the
seconds to the desired value.
Pressing <Fn>+<SET TIME> (<60>+<21>) again saves the new set remaining fencing
time and exits the “SET TIME TO THE SECOND” mode. The chronometer display <5>
will stop blinking.
Note: in some cases it might be more efficient or desirable to reset the display to the
status at the last stop of the chronometer (see 4.5
4.7 LED technology used
All signalling lamps <1> are equipped with LEDs which are maintenance-free and offer a
very long life-time. All LEDs have a redundancy of at least 3, i.e. when one LED breaks
down the lamps will still work and will only be slightly darker. Therefore, changing lamps is
not necessary any more.
5 Updating the FMA03
Rule changes by FIE as well as new functions and features can be implemented by a software
update. Updates will be provided on a regular basis through our website (check “Downloads”
section) or on request by e-mail or by sending a USB stick to you. The FMA03 can easily be
updated by yourself using a computer (Windows, Linux, iOS) and a regular USB cable (e.g. USB
printer cable).
To perform an update please refer to the update instructions supplied with the update files.
6 Guarantee:
We grant one year guarantee from the invoice date on components and work. Transport costs are
at the expense of the customer. The following items are excluded from the guarantee:
commodity goods (lamps, batteries ...)
inexpert repairs
inexpert operation
rupture of FMA03
connection of supplementary apparatus which are not authorized by the manufacturer of this
device.
7 Maintenance and service
Should there be any questions or should any defect occur which cannot be handled by yourself we
are looking forward to receiving your call or e-mail.
In general, the device must only be opened and repaired by authorised professionals. Before
sending in the device for repair please get in touch with your agency or directly with allstar.
Supposed errors can often be cleared with a telephonic advice.
Important information regarding error analysis:
For questions please always indicate device type and number (for example FMA03 and 2013 xxxx)
written on the type plate. The type plate can be found on the backside above or under the holder of
the remote control. This information can also be found in SETTINGS menu.
Before starting up the device leave it at least 2 hours in the corresponding room to get used
to the temperature.
