7.3.1 Returning the pump to the manufacturer
Pump depressurized
Pump completely empty
Electrical connections di sconnected and motor secured
against being switched on again
Pump cooled down
Safety guarding removed
With coupling with sp acer piece: spacer piece removed
Auxiliary systems s hut down, depressurized and emptied
Pressure gauge lines, pressure gauge and holdi ngs dis-
mounted
Enclose a truthful, and fully completed, safety certi cate
when returning pumps or components to the manufacturer.

If a coupling w ith spacer piece is used, the motor can
remain mounted on the base pl ate.
Progressive cavity pumps c annot be completely emptied
due to their design. A residua l amount of liquid re mains in
the pump.

Observe the following during removal:
Collect residual liquid (1) with a collecting container.
Depending on the series, ensure the specicamount
of residu al liquid ( 9.2.10 Total volume and residual
liquid quantity, Page 53).
Mark the precise orientatio n and posi tion of all compo-
nents before dismounting them.
Dismount components concentrically without canting .
Dismount the pump ( sectional drawing).
