F8# Start remote programming
To start remote programming, function 8 can be executed. This will make the analogue dialler of the
AlphaVision NG call the 9th callback telephone number, which should dial to the service number of the
installation company. To perform remote programming, make sure an AlphaVision RS-box and the
AlphaManager software (minimal version 3.0) are present at the installation company. Connecting to the PC
at the installation company can take up to 10 minutes.
To activate the remote programming function, press <?> <8> <#>, followed by a level 5 user code.
The following message will appear on the display:
Start up/down-
loading? (#=yes)
Press the <#> key to confirm or the <*> key to leave this function. If up/downloading will be done using the
ISDN line and the connected ISDN dialler (AlphaCom) has a problem to start this up/downloading session,
this will be mentioned on the display like:
ERROR: no call-
backnr. present
ERROR: AlphaCom
is busy. (ISDN)
Up/downloading on an ISDN-line is only possible using a Point-to-Multipoint line, not on a Point-to-Point
line and also not in combination with X.25 transmission.
