This manual explains how to use the Alpine AutoEQ
app on an iPhone to perform equalization.
Here is an overview of the process:
1 Setup
A list of required software and hardware.
2 Connect
Connect the iPhone app to the Alpine amp.
3 Volume adjustment
The app will assist you in setting the right volume
for measurement.
4 Measurement
You will move the iPhone throughout the cabin in a
specific way while the amp plays frequency sweeps.
This measures the sound in the cabin.
5 Tuning
Once you have an accurate measurement, you can
tune the system using the graphical interface.
Setup
This section covers the required hardware and
software for using Alpine AutoEQ.
1 Hardware
Necessary hardware includes:
•Alpine amp
• An iPhone with access to the App Store
2 Software
The Alpine AutoEQ app is available from the App
Store. Open the App Store and search for
“PXE-C80_C60.” Be sure to select the app published
by Alpine Electronics.
Connect
Follow the instructions below to connect the Alpine
AutoEQ app to the amp.
1 Turn on the amp
Power on the Alpine amp. Make sure its Bluetooth
dongle is plugged in.
2 Bluetooth Settings on iPhone
From the iPhone’s home screen, open the Settings
app.
Tap on Bluetooth to enter the Bluetooth settings.
In the list of available devices, you will see the Alpine
amp. It will have a name that starts with “DSP HD-
…”. Tap on this option to connect your phone to the
amp.
3 Open the app and connect
From the iPhone's home screen, open the Alpine
AutoEQ app.
When the app opens, it will scan for Alpine amps.
In the upper portion of the screen, it will show new
amps you have not connected to.
The Recently connected panel in the lower part of
the screen shows amps you have connected to
previously.
Tap on the amp you want to connect to.
