Maintaining Your Speaker SystemSetting the Sleep Timer
Place your speaker system on a level surface away from sources of direct
sunlightorexcessiveheat.
Protect your furniture with a cloth or other protective material when placing
your speaker system on a natural wood or lacquered finish.
Cleanyourspeakersystemwithasoftclothmoistenedonlywithmildsoap
andwater.Strongercleaningagents,suchasbenzene,thinnerorsimilar
materials, can damage the surface of the unit.
Your Altec Lansing speaker system is equipped with a sleep timer that
automaticallyturnsofftheunit30,60,90or120minutesafterithasbeen
set.
How to Set the Sleep Timer
1 Ensure your speaker system is powered on.
Ifthesystemisn’ton,presstheSTANDBYbuttononthespeaker
system or the
button on the wireless remote.
2 Press the SLEEP button.
ThisputsyouintheSleepTimermode.
3 Select the sleep duration.
PresstheSLEEPbuttontocyclethroughtheavailablesleepduration
times:0,30,60,90and120minutes.Selecting0minutesisthe
equivalent of turning the sleep function off.
4 Exit the Sleep Timer mode.
ThespeakersystemwillautomaticallyexittheSleepTimermodeafter
5secondsofinactivity.Or,presstheENTERbuttononthewireless
remotetoexittheSleepTimermode.
