Why do certain programs on my AOC LED TV display a loss of detail?
    • P
      Patrick BradfordSep 22, 2025
Loss of detail during fast-motion or dark scenes on your AOC LED TV is due to the digital compression of the source content used by certain digital broadcasts and DVDs. This may cause the TV to display less detail than usual, or cause artifacts (small blocks or dots, pixilation) to appear. These signal compressions are more visible and are dependent on the clarity and resolution of the television.

    • C
      Christopher LopezSep 18, 2025
Black bands appear on the edges of your AOC LED TV screen because some widescreen programs are filmed in aspect ratios greater than 16:9, especially common with theatrical releases. The TV will show these programs with black bands at the top and bottom. Programs in 4:3 aspect ratio will have bands on the left and right sides.
