CHECKING THE BRAKE PAD WEAR

Check brake pads for wear every 2,000 km. In case
of off-road use, with mud or sand, check brake pads
after every ride.
The pads present a groove that must always be visi-
ble.
The following information refer to a sin-
gle braking system, but are valid for
both.
Disc brake pads wear depends on use, riding style
and road surface.
Check brake pads for wear, especially be-
fore every trip. To carry out a rapid check
on brake pads, proceed as follows:
◆ Raise vehicle on stand.
Front brake caliper is provided with two
brake pads. Rear brake caliper is provid-
ed with two brake pads.
Carry out a visual check between the disc and the
pads, proceeding:
◆ From below to above in the ≈wheel shaft / caliper∆
direction for front brake calipers;
