6.12) On the back of the Sport Guard side panels (LH
shown) drill out the two holes to 20mm diameter.
Spacers from the canopy hardware kit are to
be used in these holes to space out the rear
mounting brackets from the liner (6250027) for
M8 bolts and (6250026) for M6 bolts.
Picture opposite shows drilled holes
in position.
Repeat for the RH side panel.
Fit the Sport guard to the tub of the vehicle.
6.13) Fit the canopy front tub corner mounting brackets
(668PD044L&R) as per steps 2.2 to 2.7 - but do
not assemble the lower 2 bolts in the bracket
yet.
6.14) Fit the front head board rail bracket (668PD046)
as per steps 2.8 to 2.11
6.15) Assemble two tie down hooks with the following:
parts. M8x25 Torx bolts (6151626) with
M8x25x3mm thick black washers (4581303)
under their heads through the hooks from the
canopy hardware kit. Then insert the hooks
through the 8.5mm ID metal spacers (6250027)
and through Sport Guard into the weld nuts in the
vehicle tub. Tighten to 22Nm.
6.16) Assemble the two rear tie down hooks re-using
the retained torx bolts painted in vehicle body
colour. On the other side of the hooks, assemble
the steel spacers and plastic spacer retainer’s
form the Sport Guard kit. Assemble these through
the holes in the rear pillars of the side panels of
the Sport Guard and tighten to 22Nm.
Return to steps 2.12- 2.15 and continue fitting
spacers on the bracket though the holes in
the tub liner. Complete section 3,4,5 and
section 6.30 onwards.
