Use Fingertip Testing:

blood glucose, or suffer from hypoglycemic unawareness (you
cannot tell when you have low blood glucose).
 •ToconrmyourbloodglucoselevelifyourASTresultisnot 
consistent with how you feel.
 •Duringtimesofstressorillness.
Ask your diabetes healthcare professional about recommended testing
procedures when operating machinery or driving a car, as fingertip testing
is usually the preferred method of testing under these circumstances.
If bruising occurs, you may choose to lance a fingertip instead.
