  If your ASM Paint Sprayer pump won't prime, ensure the Spray–Prime/Drain valve is in the PRIME/DRAIN position. Check if the inlet screen is clogged or the suction tube isn't immersed in paint; clean the screen and ensure the tube is at the bottom of the paint pail. The balls in the check valve could be stuck or the valves damaged, so clean or replace the check valves. Also, the suction tube might be leaking, so tighten the connection and inspect for cracks.

Also, the Spray–Prime/Drain valve may be worn or obstructed with debris; check and clean it, ensuring proper torque (185 in-lb or 21 N m), and replace if worn.
