4.4 Hose rinsing
● Dispose the suction catheter and rinse the
suction tube with clean water or disinfec-
tion liquid after every suction procedure. We
recommend to use the rinsing bottle in which
you can carry clean water along with you.

Important
notes on safety
● Makesurethatthecollectioncanister
is evacuated in time. As soon as the
canisterishalf-lled,itmustbeemptied
(this principle proves right in all application
ranges).
● Attention: Suction procedures in the
respiratory tract may only be
implemented after appropriate instruction
byhospitalorspecialsta.
● When the maximum level is exceeded,
the overow safety reacts and suction is
stopped. Empty the canister.
● Checkthevacuumreadoutregularly!
● If secretion has been soaked up into the
pump due to improper use or manipulation,
the device must be repaired from ATMOS
or a service authorised by ATMOS.
● Foraspirationuseonlyapplicablesuction
catheters, attachments or a medical aspira-
tion sets.
● Whilstaspiratingpleasepayattentiontothe
llinglevelofthesecretioncanister.

4.3 Suction procedure
● Then, lead in the catheter in the same way as shown by
yourhospitalstaandstartthesuctionprocedure.
● Control the suction procedure with the auxiliary air vent

)onthengertip.
ThehydrophobicDDSbacteriallter/oversuctionstop
avoids ingress of moisture. Nevertheless you should empty
thecanisteratalllevelof1/2.
● The secretion canister system is designed the way that
secretionsowslaterallytothewall.Thereforethefoam
formation in the canister is reduced.
