Reject Incoming Calls with Invalid Numbers
For security reasons, you may want to block incoming call to your Codec Unit coming from
SIP or H323 attackers on the network, especially if the codec unit is reachable from a public
network.
To disable SIP or H323 incoming calls from sources using invalid numbers browse to
[GUI] > CONFIGURE > ADVANCED > PROTOCOLS>GENERAL: REJECT SIP/H323 INVALID NUMBER CALLS.
[WEB]> ADMINISTRATOR SETTINGS > ADVANCED > PROTOCOLS>GENERAL: REJECT SIP/H323 INVALID NUMBER
CALLS.
You can disable this feature for each network interface.
Important:
• Once this feature is enabled, incoming calls are affected in this way:
o If the device is not registered to any SIP server, SIP incoming calls
by IP address will be rejected. You need to place calls to this device
using the user@host syntax or host##user, where host is the CU IP
address and user must be the SIP user name.
o If the device is not registered to any Gatekeeper, H323 incoming
calls by IP address will be rejected. You need to place calls to this
device using the alias@host syntax or host##alias, where host is
the CU IP address and alias is the H323 Alias.
