Release Notes for Avaya Scopia® XT Series What’s New | 8
Connect the PC or Mac with resolution up to 4K to the HD1 port of the codec for
presentation content. An HDMI cable or adapter is needed.
DVI Input is used for presentation only if no input is connected on HD1. Otherwise HD1
has the precedence for presentation. Presentation priority with 4k enabled is
HD1/DVI/Screen Link. You need to unplug both HD1 and DVI to have XT show Screen
Link content.
Please note that if you plug in DVI or HD1 input while Screen Link content is sent or
shown, it will be automatically stopped. If you connect HD1 input while DVI content is sent
or shown, it will be automatically stopped.
If a 4K monitor is connected to the XT (HD1 out connector), a 4K local presentation is
shown in the native resolution.
When in a call, 4K content is downscaled to 1080p or lower, according to the call
resolution and all the video flows (local, remote, presentation) are composed in the 4K
mosaic (when using a single monitor).
If you use an Avaya XT Camera Switch, you need to connect it to HD2 in place of HD1.
Audio on HD2 is automatically disabled, while audio on HD1 is enabled. This means that
audio coming from the PC for a presentation via HD1 cable is also transmitted. You can
also choose if use the audio coming from HD1 only when associated to a presentation or
always (with a configuration option).
HD1 audio and HD2 audio cannot be enabled simultaneously. Enabling audio on HD1 or
HD2 will automatically disable the other HD audio.
