Using Telephony in the Mesh
Overview
In a Mesh with more than one FRITZ!Box, you can configure your tele
phone numbers in one FRITZ!Box (the Mesh Master) and adopt them
automatically on every other FRITZ!Box in the Mesh.
Whenever you add or change telephone numbers in the Mesh Master,
the changes are automatically applied to the other FRITZ!Boxes.
Using Telephony in the Mesh
• You configure your telephone numbers in just one FRITZ!Box
(Mesh Master). Every other FRITZ!Box in the home network can
then simply adopt them automatically.
• You can add telephone numbers in the Mesh Master, or change the
settings of a telephone number. The changes are automatically
applied to other FRITZ!Boxes in the Mesh.
• Some FRITZ!Box models are suitable for operation on conven
tional landlines (analog or ISDN). If the Mesh Master is connected
with a landline, then you can also make landline telephone calls
on every other FRITZ!Box in the Mesh. The other FRITZ!Box does
not have to be connected with the landline itself.
Requirements
• Your telephone numbers are registered in the FRITZ!Box that is
configured as the Mash Master.
• All FRITZ!Boxes on which you would like to adopt the telephone
numbers are configured as Mesh Repeaters.
Instructions: Setting up Telephony in the Mesh
1. Open the user interface, see page 54.
2. Select “Home Network / Mesh / Mesh Settings”.
3. For instructions, open the online help .
