AccessScheduleTypes
Therearetwotypesofaccessschedules:
Additionschedule-Regularaccessschedulesthatdenewhendoorscanbeaccessed.Typicaladditionschedulesareofcehours,
businesshours,afterhours,ornighttimehours.
Subtractionschedule-Exceptionstoregularaccessschedules.Theyaregenerallyusedtorestrictaccessduringaspecictime
periodthatoccurswithinthetimeperiodofaregularschedule(additionschedule).Forexample,subtractionschedulescanbeused
todenyusersaccesstothebuildingduringpublicholidaysthatoccuronweekdays.
Bothtypesofaccessschedulescanbeusedattwolevels:
Identicationtypeschedules-Determinewhenandhowreadersgrantusersaccesstoadoor.Eachidenticationtypemustbe
connectedtoanaccessschedulethattellsthesystemwhentograntusersaccesswiththatparticularidenticationtype.Multiple
additionschedulesandsubtractionschedulescanbeaddedtoeachidenticationtype.Forinformationaboutidenticationtypes,

Groupschedules-Determinewhen,butnothow,membersofagrouparegrantedaccesstoadoor.Eachgroupmustbeconnected
tooneormoreaccessschedulesthattellthesystemwhentograntitsmembersaccess.Multipleadditionschedulesandsubtraction
schedulescanbeaddedtoeachgroup.Forinformationaboutgroups,seepage19.
Groupschedulescanrestrictentryaccessrightsbutnotextendentryorexitaccessrightsbeyondwhattheidenticationtype
schedulesallow.Inotherwords,ifanidenticationtypeschedulerestrictsentryorexitaccessatcertaintimes,agroupschedule
cannotoverridethatidenticationtypeschedule.However,ifagroupscheduleismorerestrictiveaboutaccessthantheidentication
typeschedule,thegroupscheduleoverridestheidenticationtypeschedule.
Identicationtypeschedulesandgroupschedulescanbecombinedinseveralwaystoachievedifferentresults.Forexampleaccess
