1.Createaself-signedcerticateasdescribedabove.
2.GotoSetup>AdditionalControllerConguration>SystemOptions>Security>Certicates.
3.ClickCreatecerticatesigningrequestandprovidetherequestedinformation.
4.CopythePEM-formattedrequestandsendtotheCAofyourchoice.
5.Whenthesignedcerticateisreturned,clickInstallcerticateanduploadthecerticate.
Server/ClientcerticatescanbeinstalledasCerticatefromsigningrequestorasCerticateandprivatekey.SelectCerticate
andprivatekeyiftheprivatekeyistobeuploadasaseparateleorifthecerticateisinPKCS#12format.
TheAxisproductisshippedwithseveralpreinstalledCAcerticates.Ifrequired,additionalCAcerticatescanbeinstalled:
1.GotoSetup>AdditionalControllerConguration>SystemOptions>Security>Certicates.
2.ClickInstallcerticateanduploadthecerticate.

CurrentServerTimedisplaysthecurrentdateandtime(24hclock).
Tochangethedateandtimesettings,selectthepreferredTimemodeunderNewServerTime:
•Synchronizewithcomputertime–Setsdateandtimeaccordingtothecomputer’sclock.Withthisoption,dateand
timearesetonceandwillnotbeupdatedautomatically.
•SynchronizewithNTPServer–ObtainsdateandtimefromanNTPserver.Withthisoption,dateandtimesettingsare
updatedcontinuously.ForinformationonNTPsettings,seeNTPConguration,onpage36.
IfusingahostnamefortheNTPserver,aDNSservermustbecongured.SeeDNSConguration,onpage36.
•Setmanually–Allowsyoutomanuallysetdateandtime.
IfusinganNTPserver,selectyourTimezonefromthedrop-downlist.Ifrequired,checkAutomaticallyadjustfordaylightsaving
timechanges.

Bydefault,theAxisproductissettouseIPv4(IPversion4)andtoobtaintheIPaddressautomaticallyviaDHCP.TheIPv4settingsare
conguredunderSetup>AdditionalControllerConguration>SystemOptions>Network>TCP/IP>Basic.
DHCP(DynamicHostCongurationProtocol)allowsnetworkadministratorstocentrallymanageandautomatetheassignmentof
IPaddresses.DHCPshouldonlybeenabledifusingdynamicIPaddressnotication,oriftheDHCPcanupdateaDNSserver.Itis
thenpossibletoaccesstheAxisproductbyname(hostname).
IfDHCPisenabledandtheproductcannotbeaccessed,runAXISIPUtilitytosearchthenetworkforconnectedAxisproducts,orreset
theproducttothefactorydefaultsettings(seepage41)andthenperformtheinstallationagain.
TouseastaticIPaddress,checkUsethefollowingIPaddressandspecifytheIPaddress,subnetmaskanddefaultrouter.
