Resettofactorydefaultsettings
Important
Resettofactorydefaultshouldbeusedwithcaution.Aresettofactorydefaultresetsallsettings,includingtheIPaddress,to
thefactorydefaultvalues.
Toresettheproducttothefactorydefaultsettings:
1.Disconnectpowerfromtheproduct.
2.Pressandholdthecontrolbuttonwhilereconnectingpower.SeeProductoverviewonpage5.
3.Keepthecontrolbuttonpressedfor25secondsuntilthestatusLEDindicatorturnsamberforthesecondtime.
4.Releasethecontrolbutton.TheprocessiscompletewhenthestatusLEDindicatorturnsgreen.Theproducthasbeenreset
tothefactorydefaultsettings.IfnoDHCPserverisavailableonthenetwork,thedefaultIPaddressis192.168.0.90.
5.Usetheinstallationandmanagementsoftwaretools,assignanIPaddress,setthepassword,andaccesstheproduct.
Itisalsopossibletoresetparameterstofactorydefaultthroughthewebinterface.GotoSetup>AdditionalController
Conguration>Setup>SystemOptions>MaintenanceandclickDefault.
Howtocheckthecurrentrmware
Firmwareissoftwarethatdeterminesthefunctionalityofnetworkdevices.Oneofyourrstactionswhentroubleshootingaproblem
shouldbetocheckthecurrentrmwareversion.Thelatestversionmaycontainacorrectionthatxesyourparticularproblem.
ThecurrentrmwareversionintheAxisproductisdisplayedintheOverviewpage.
Howtoupgradethermware
Important
•Yourdealerreservestherighttochargeforanyrepairattributabletofaultyupgradebytheuser.
•Preconguredandcustomizedsettingsaresavedwhenthermwareisupgraded(providingthefeaturesareavailableinthe
newrmware)althoughthisisnotguaranteedbyAxisCommunicationsAB.
•Ifyouinstallapreviousrmwareversion,youneedtorestoretheproducttofactorydefaultsettingsafterwards.

•Aftertheupgradeprocesshascompleted,theproductrestartsautomatically.Ifyourestarttheproductmanuallyafter
theupgrade,wait5minutesevenifyoususpectthattheupgradehasfailed.
•Becausethedatabaseofusers,groups,credentials,andotherdataareupdatedafterarmwareupgrade,therststart-up
couldtakeafewminutestocomplete.Thetimerequiredisdependentontheamountofdata.
•WhenyouupgradetheAxisproductwiththelatestrmware,theproductreceivesthelatestfunctionalityavailable.Always
readtheupgradeinstructionsandreleasenotesavailablewitheachnewreleasebeforeupgradingthermware.

2.GotoSetup>AdditionalControllerConguration>SystemOptions>Maintenanceintheproduct’swebpages.
3.UnderUpgradeServer,clickChooseleandlocatetheleonyourcomputer.
