•InternalMicrophone:Selectthisaudiosourcetousetheinternalmicrophone.
•ExternalMicrophone:Selectthisaudiosourcetousetheexternalmicrophone.
•Line:SelectthisaudiosourcetouseaLineindevice,thatis,anaudiomixerformultiplemicrophonesoramicrophone
withabuilt-inamplier.
Selectthe+30dBmicrophoneboostoptiontoamplifythesignaloftheexternalmicrophoneconnectedtotheAxisproduct.
ThisoptionisnotavailablewhentheLinesourceisselected.
TheMicrophonepoweroptionprovidesDCpowerforanexternalmicrophone.Microphonepowershouldonlybeusedwith
microphonesthatrequirethiskindofpowering,thatis,electretmicrophones.Thissettingshouldnotbeenabledwhenusingadynamic
orbatterypoweredmicrophone.Foruseofaprofessionalmicrophonerequiring12Vphantompower,thereisabuilt-inpowersupply.

Touseaprofessionalmicrophonerequiring48Vphantompower,youneedanexternalpowersupplyandabalanced
converter(audiotransformer)inbetween.Theinputmustneverexceed12VDC.

thesound.Ifthesoundistoohigh,choosealowerdB.TheLevelbargivesavisualrepresentationoftheaudiosignallevelindB
relativetothefull-scaleinputlevel.
•Green—thesignalisatagoodlevel.
•Yellow—thesignalisbecomingdistorted.
•Red—thesignalisdistorted.
UsetheEncodingoptiontoselectdigitalaudioencodingformat.
•AACrequiresalicenseforbothencodinganddecoding.AACistheleastcomplicatedandmostwidelyusedcodec.If
achievingthebestpossibleaudioqualityisapriority,AACistherecommendedcodectouse.AnAAClicenseisincluded
intheAxisproduct.
•G711isanunlicensedstandardcodecthatisusefulwhenintegratingaudiointoaVoIPsystem
