2.ClickNetworkShare.

3.EntertheIPaddress,DNSorBonjournametothehostserverintheHosteld.

4.EnterthenameoftheshareintheShareeld.Subfolderscannotbeused.

5.Ifrequired,selectThesharerequiresloginandentertheusernameandpassword.

6.ClickConnect.

ToclearallrecordingsanddatafromtheAxisproduct’sfolderonthedesignatedshare,clickClearunderStorageTools.

Toavoidllingtheshare,itisrecommendedtoremoverecordingscontinuously.UnderRecordingSettings,selectRemoverecordings

olderthanandselectthenumberofdaysorweeks.

Tostopwritingtotheshareandprotectrecordingsfrombeingremoved,selectLockunderRecordingSettings.

TheAxisproductprovidestwocongurableinputandoutputportsforconnectionofexternaldevices.AnAxismulticableisrequired

whenconnectingexternaldevices,seeAxismulticable(soldseparately)onpage56.

ToconguretheI/Oports,gotoSystemOptions>Ports&Devices>I/OPorts.Eachportcanfunctionasinputoroutput:

•InputasOpencircuit–Theinputbecomesactivewhenthecircuitisgroundedby,forexample,aREXdevice.Itremains

inactiveaslongasitsnormalstateequalsitscurrentstatus.

•InputasGroundedcircuit–Theinputbecomesactivewhenthecircuitisopenedbyforexampleamonitor.

•OutputasOpencircuit–Theoutputportisinanon-conductivestatewhenitscurrentstatusisopencircuit.Thecurrent

statusofanoutputportcanbechangedby,forexample,anactionrule.

•OutputasGroundedcircuit–Theoutputportisinaconductivestatewhenitscurrentstatusisgroundedcircuit.

PortStatus

ThelistontheSystemOptions>Ports&Devices>PortStatuspageshowsthestatusoftheproduct’sinputandoutputports.

ClickRestarttoperformacorrectrestartiftheAxisproductisnotbehavingasexpected.Thiswillnotaffectanyofthecurrent

settings.
