It is expected that the MultiClamp Commander On-line Help will answer many
questions about the operation of the MultiClamp 700A. This chapter provides details
of the theory and operation of the MultiClamp 700A, beyond what is available in the
On-line Help. The information in this section is gathered under a number of broad
topics, arranged in alphabetical order. Because the MultiClamp 700A is effectively
two instruments in one (an Axopatch-1D and an Axoclamp 2B), the topics are
sometimes divided into two sections, or refer to only voltage clamp or current clamp
mode.
