FUEL STORAGE
NOTE:Dieselfuelsstoredforalongtimemayformgumorbacteriaandpluglters.
Keep fuel in a clean container and store in a protected area. Water and sediment must be removed before fuel gets
totheengine.Donotusede-icerstoremovewaterfromfuel.Donotdependonfuellterstoremovewater.
NOTE: Keep all dirt, scale, water, or other foreign material out of fuel.
Store fuel drums on sides with plug up.
ALTERNATIVE LUBRICANTS
Conditions in certain geographical areas may require special lubricants and lubrication practices which do not appear
in this manual.
LUBRICANT STORAGE
Themachinecanoperateattopefciencyonlyifcleanlubricantsareused.Useacleancontainertohandleall
lubricants. Store them in an area protected from dust, moisture, and other contaminants. Store drums on sides.
Dieselfuelorhydraulicuidunderpressurecanpenetratetheskinoreyes.
Fluid leaks under pressure may not be visible. Use a piece of cardboard or
woodtondleaksbutdonotusebarehand.Wearsafetygoggles.Ifuid
enters skin or eyes, get immediate medical attention.
