Software options
To configure the transceiver options a PIN number is entered. This PIN number is available from the
factory. The options enabled by PIN number are listed below:-
BCO20501 Selective call 4 and 6 digit
BCO20502 Telcall and selective call
BCO20503 RS-232 control
BCO20504 GPS interface (GPS receiver not included)
BCO20505 Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) MIL-STD-188-141B
BCO20506 Secure Call
Note:- Frequency hopping options BCO20507, BCO20400 and BCO20401 can only be fitted in the factory
and require an export licence
Note:- PIN numbers relate to the electronic serial number of the transceiver. A PIN number issued by the
factory for an option installation will only operate with a transceiver with a serial number that it was specified
for.
Internal jumper settings
The 2050 transceiver has no internal jumpers.

models
Barrett 2050 receivers
The Barrett 2050R is technically identical to the Barrett 2050 local control transceiver, but has a different
PCB fitted in place of the PA PCB containing low pass filters, power relay circuitry and antenna switch
components.
