5.5 Indirect Systems
There are no pressure sensors used in indirect TPMS systems; as a rule, most indirect systems have a Reset button for
recalibrating the system. After selecting the MMY of the vehicle, refer to the on-tool prompts for completing the relearn
process.
5.6 Relearn Toolkit
While on the Operations screen of the Relearn function, you can access the Relearn Toolkit
by using the arrow keys to navigate to the wrench icon, then pressing Enter to open the
menu.
Program Sensor
See Section 4.0 for sensor programming procedures.
OBD (300PROC and 400PRO Only)
The OBD function will pull existing OBDII data (e.g. VIN, sensor IDs, DTCs) from the vehicle and display it. Connect the tool to the
vehicle via the OBDII cable, select OBD from the TBYT Toolkit menu, and press the Enter key to start the search.
Sensor Search
The Sensor Search function can be used to identify unknown sensors.
Place the sensor at the top of the tool (or position the tool accordingly
if the sensor is installed in the wheel – see Section 2.3
) and select
Sensor Search from the TBYT Toolkit menu, then press the Enter key
to start the search. The tool will display any results found.
NOTE:
Reprogrammable sensors that have not yet been programmed
will not be detected by this search function.
RKE Test
RKE Test is also available through the Home > Toolkit menu; see Section 7.2
for details.
