)•
Head Load Solenoid
Head Load
Actuator
When the head load
solenoid
is energized the
head load actuator releases
the
head load pres-
sure arm of the carriage
assembly, which
in
turn presses the
mini disk against the read/
write head
by
the
head
load
pad. The pressure
pad
under the
head load
actuator
stabilizes
the mini
disk. When
the head load
solenoid
is
de-
energized,
the head load
actuator
is lif-
ted
by a
spring. Also the
head load
pressure
arm
is
lifted.
