The attenuation of an optical com-
ponent has to be measured. For
this purpose a reference measure-
ment is carried out, at first. Then
the required insertion loss is deter-
mined. In the following description
a ready-made connection cable is
used as UUT.

Carrying out the reference mea-

The OPM and the Stabilised
Light Source SLS-100 are put
into service in compliance
with their respective instruc-
tion manuals.
