7.5 FUMES EVACUATION AND COMBUSTION
AIR IN TAKE (C.A.I. Version)
See standards norms for evacuation of combustion products.
Combustion air vents must conform to current
standards.
Flues must be non-flexible, joints between the various parts
must be sealed and all components must resist temperature,
condensation and mechanical stress.
Non-isolated evacuation flues are potential sources
of danger.
Figure 7.8 gives the boiler seen from above with the reference
dimensions for distance between centres of fumes evacuation
and combustion air inlet, in respect of the boiler supporting
plate.
- pull the lever of the safety valve forward (fig. 7.6) until the
boiler is emptied;
- empty the lowest parts of the system.
The safety valve discharge must be connected to an adequate
drainage system.
The manufacturer shall not be held liable for eventual
flooding caused by the safety valve.
Whenever there is the risk of freezing conditions, the hot water
system must also be emptied as follows:
- turn the cold water inlet tap lever to CLOSED (Fig. 7.6);
- turn on all the hot water taps;
- empty the lowest points.
The boiler is fitted with a system for controlling correct
evacuation of combustion products - fumes thermostat (fig.
7.10) -, which will quickly stop the appliance from working
should there be any problems and the red led on the control
panel will light up (fig. 7.9).
Turn the function selector to O OFF to start it up again – fig.
7.5 – then turn to the required position.
If the problem persists, do not try to repair it yourself but call
the Servicing Centre as soon as possible, which will deal with
the problem of fumes evacuation and carry out a working test.
The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any
damages caused by improper work done on the unit.
The control unit for correct fumes evacuation must not
be allowed to be out of service. Use original parts only
if it has to be replaced.

7.6 EVACUATION OF COMBUSTION PRODUCTS
(C.S.I. Version)
See standards norm for evacuation of combustion products.
The boiler is not supplied with a fumes evacuation/air intake
kit as it is possible to use equipment with a forced draught
sealed chamber that are better suited to the type of installation.
Use original pipes for fumes extraction and return of
combustion air from boiler or others with the same EC
characteristics and make sure that they have been connected
correctly conforming to instructions given with the fumes
accessories. It is possible to connect up more than one
apparatus to a single flue as long as they are all the sealed
chamber type.
The boiler is a C type appliance (sealed chamber) so that it
must be securely connected to the flue for fumes and also to
the one for combustion air intake, both opening onto the
