EMBROIDERY THREAD
Most designs are digitized for 40-weight thread. 40-weight
polyester thread is the most commonly used types by machine
embroiderers.
Always select high-quality embroidery thread. Bargain brands may
cause excessive thread breakage while stitching, and may produce
undesirable nal results.

Rayon Embroidery Thread
Widely available
Beautiful, rich look
Higher sheen than polyester embroidery thread, but generally
more fragile.
Specialty Embroidery Thread
These threads are more fragile and are most often using as accents
rather than for full designs.

BOBBIN THREAD
For best results, use a high quality 60-wt thread in the bobbin.
Lightweight thread helps avoid thread build-up on bottom side
of the project.
It is designed to withstand the high-speed stitching of an embroi-
dery machine.
Lightweight thread allows more bobbin to be wound on bob-
bins, so you will be changing bobbins less frequently than with
heavier thread.
It is more economical than regular embroidery thread.
Use neutral thread color throughout design.
White or off-white is the most commonly used color.
Embroidery bobbin thread is readily available by a number of
manufacturers.
