Helm Control Systems
Tilt Steering Wheel
The steering wheel can be tilted to ve dierent
positions by activating the tilt lock lever located on
the bottom of the helm station. When the lever is
released, it automatically locks the steering wheel
at or close to that angle. Refer to the steering
manufacturer owner’s manual for specic informa-
tion on the steering system.
4.7 Trim Tabs
The optional trim tabs are mounted to the hull
below the swim platform and integrated transom
engine mounting system. A dual rocker switch is
used to control the trim tabs. The switch controls
bow up and down movements. It also controls star-
board and port up and down movements. Bow up
and bow down will control the hull planing attitude,
while port and starboard up and down provides
control for the hull listing.
An LED indicator built into the switch displays the
position of the trim tabs. When one LED is ashing
at the top of the display, the tabs are in the “full-up”
(bow up) position. When all LED lights are lit from
the top to the bottom of the display, the tabs are
fully extended (bow down).
The trim tabs are programmed to automatically
retract when the engine is shutdown to keep the
actuators clean and set the tabs in the full “UP”
position when leaving the dock. Refer to the trim
tab operating manual for more information on the
operation and programming of the trim tabs.
Before leaving the dock, make sure that the tabs
are in the full “UP” position. If they are not, press
and hold the control in the bow up position for ten
(10) seconds to fully retract the tabs.
Always establish the intended heading and cruise
speed before attempting to adjust the hull attitude
with the trim tabs. After stabilizing speed and direc-
tion, move the trim tabs to achieve a level side to
side running attitude being careful not to over trim.
After depressing a trim tab switch, always wait a
few seconds for the change in the trim plane to take
eect. Avoid depressing the switch while awaiting
the trim plane reaction. By the time the eect is
noticeable the trim tab plane will have moved too
far and thus the boat will be in an overcompensated
position.
